"I am happy, and you should be as well. Let us pray together with joy."
This is according the several news papers this morning the pope's last form of
communication with the world. He drifts in and out of conciousness. yet He wants
his people, his faithful to not weep. Do not be sad..take heart. Be joyful and
celebreate.
To be honest I havnt read the news in a few days, and although he has been gravly sick
It still feels as if a shock. Its proof prehas in his mortal stature. Life and death. Its
the way the world works.
Today, I have said a silent prayer, the first in many many years. And prehaps the only
tears I have shed for reiligons sake, Yet I'm not sure whythe tears came. I dont consider
myself to be a religious person, with faith thats very uncertain. Maybe its the struggle for life
that keeps me remembering. Maybe its the connection of faith, religion, pope and hope.
Prehaps its the memory of my Grand Mother. So religious was that women.
Either way, there has been no posted news about this life or death this last hour that I looked.
"Sometimes it seems as if he were resting with his eyes closed, but when you speak to him, he opens his eyes,"
Thats the sturuggle. the grip to hold on, just a while longer. He still hears you. So today take a moment,
even if your faith is not strong, I dont mean prayer, but think of the stuggule of life and death...think of the mortality of even the most saintly. And prehaps in that you will find something to believe in.
"I talked to the doctors and they told me there is no more hope," the Mexican cardinal said.
Yet there is hope, not for the Pope's life, but for the people of the world. Hope is what shows though
in times like this. Hope is what people need. There is always hope. You just have to look a little harder
to find it sometimes. But it always exists. See past the surface, look inside yourself and somethings you
will be surprised. Its like thinking outside the box. Open your eyes and try it ...even if its just once. You dont have to be religious to see the bigger picture. Religion is not the bases for hope, but it is something to look to, to ask for guidence, just like you would ask a friend, a confident for advice. Help.
"A great man is dying," he said in the six-minute address. "This is a man who has carried the moral weight of the world for 26 years... turning himself into the only moral reference for humanity in recent years of wars and difficulties."
This man, the Pope, he asked several times, he prayed many times a day, for the end of the worlds war, for a peace that would last, and I am not only refering to the Irag war, but the Congo, the Palestine/Israel conflict, the wars in Sadun. He prayed for those people even though they were not of his faith. Faith is blind. If you are truly a believe, a worker of God, faith knows no boundaries. You wish goodness to all. That is the concieveable point.
Strong will is what has made this man Pope John Paul to live this long. Sick for many many months, years ever. Yet he hung on, his faith in the world. Its is people, each religion, race, gender, all included. Now if only 1/3rd of us were so open to everything.

First non-Italian pope since 1523
John Paul II, the world's 264th Pope, was born in Poland in 1920.
An actor and stonecutter as a young man, Karol Josef Wojtyla became a priest at the age of 26, a bishop at 38 and a cardinal at 47.
In 1978, at the age of 58, he was elected by his fellow cardinals, becoming the youngest pope in the 20th century and the first non-Italian one since 1523.
John Paul visited Canada three times during his papacy, in 1984, 1987 and 2002.
how much more human can you get? He at many points in his life was just like you and I. A student, A worker, A family person. then on to the preisthood. Where he fulfilled much of his life. :) Today I will smile for his life, him as a man. you can choose what you will do. If anything at all. but today life sheems just a little more important.

Wow. it's time to start this new chapter in my life. This school semester is drawing to a close, I'm getting ready for my trip. A 4 month trip, that involves getting a job, meeting the boy of my dreams and starting a life thats so separate from this one now. The expectations are high, but not unreasonably so. Happiness is obtainable. Yes, Indeed it is.
In other news:
1.) My feet are wet.
2.) I still have to type and footnote my papers.
3.) I still have to buy my plane ticket.
4.) I smell wet dog, cause it's icky out and they just brought in the hugh puppy.
5.) I'm sitting on a hard floor.
6.) I just had chocolate milk so my tummy is satisfied.
on to more important, yet disgusting information:
A discussion I had today with www.tootboy.mindsay.com sparked my interest in finding out more information about child porn. Not to see it, but to see how big an impact it is on society. Even to take a look at how it relates to file sharing, considering that that is the method in which most child porn sites get there information out.
Did you know 44% of files downloaded though peer to peer connections are Child Porn? While only 29% are Adults? 13% is Child erotica. Come on give me a break, really child erotica? dont people have better things to think about and do? Only 14% of file sharing are non-pornographic files.
